Discovery
The first step in the six-step Investment Advisory process is discovery. Discovery is all about you. Your goals, time frames, risk tolerance, risk capacity, past investment experiences, hopes, dreams, and aspirations. Before an investment plan can be crafted for you, I need to know as much about you as possible. In order to gather this necessary information, you will be asked to complete a Discovery Workbook. This workbook is designed to help you define and prioritize your goals, establish your investment time horizon, and to understand your ability to accept risk and loss. This information includes questions about you, your investment objectives and risk tolerance, your financial profile, and beneficiary designations.
Once you have completed your Discovery Workbook, you will receive a formal Investment Proposal which outlines details of your investment plan such as asset allocation approaches, portfolio strategist selection, fully disclosed fees, etc.

The next step in the Investment Advisory process is establishing the Market Outlook.
